TREASURE ISLAND, FL — New street lamps are going up on East Treasure Island Causeway.
On June 24 and 25, the inside eastbound lane of the East Causeway will be closed periodically to finish the installation of these new streetlights in the median by Duke Energy.
Traffic cones will be removed at the end of each work day.
The East Treasure Island Causeway has been reconstructed to improve roadway and drainage conditions.
Following the streetlight replacement, the city’s landscaping contractor will re-landscape the East Causeway medians with additional Medjool palms, coontie, muhly grass and daylilies.
Bike/pedestrian path alternatives are being reviewed by the city of St. Petersburg.
