ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are seeking information after two people were found dead inside a running vehicle in St. Petersburg Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the 1400 block of 34th Street South at about 1:30 a.m. to investigate a car that had been running for an extended period of time. In the car, they found the bodies of Larrisha Williams, 27 and Jerome Clark, 23.
St. Petersburg police spokeswoman Sandra Bentil said their deaths were being investigated as a homicide, but the cause of death was not disclosed.
8 On Your Side spoke with Clark’s mother, Lorraine Gary and stepdad, Charles Gary.
The Gary’s say Clark just turned 23 on Monday. He worked multiple jobs to take care of his 2-year-old daughter.
The Gary’s say they spoke with their son a few hours before his death.
“We’re just asking St. Pete to come together and get justice for my son and his girlfriend,” Lorraine Gary said. “We want justice for Jerome and Larrisha, they didn’t deserve to die like that.”
“He was a good brother also to his three siblings,” Clark’s sister said.
Williams’ cousin told 8 On Your Side that Williams had three children of her own. She described her as someone who loved her children and lit up a room.
Gary is now asking the community to step up and help.
“We want to know who did it, anybody, anybody seen anything, know anything please let us know,” Lorriane Gary said. “I just want answers for my baby.
