ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Detectives have identified a woman’s burned body that was found in the alley behind 2920 Emerson Ave. S. last week and are seeking leads about her death, authorities said.

The victim was 31-year-old Heather Elizabeth Olmstead, according to a St. Petersburg police news release.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a call about a fire in the alley overnight Thursday, police said. Once the fire was out, they noticed Olmstead’s body.
