ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The streets of St. Petersburg will be flooded with colors of the rainbow as the 20th annual St. Pete Pride weekend gets underway from June 24 – 26.

Over 100,000 attendees are expected to attend, with a live concert, tons of vendors, and the weekend’s biggest event: the parade, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday.

Although the Tampa Bay area is holding festivities for this weekend, The entire month of June is dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community through cultural events, educational programs and advocacy.

Here are some major events that will be happening all weekend long: 

St. Pete Coastal Cruises

St. Pete Pride is partnering with St. Pete Coastal Cruises for a Pride boat cruise from now until June 29. Guests will have a limited and unique chance to see the Skyway Bridge lit up in Pride colors. A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to St Pete Pride. For more information, click here.

St. Pete Pride Trans March

The Trans March will step off from Albert Whitted Park at 3:15pm and march along Bayshore Dr to meet the Pride Parade at Vinoy Park. The march is to recognize all trans and non-conforming people and to embrace a world where they are loved and empowered. Shirts are available for $15. Click here to register.

‘Pride in Grand Central’ Street Carnival

The Sunday street festival will be located in the Grand Central District on June 26 at 11 a.m. There will be multiple vendors, food, carnival games, and entertainment for guests to enjoy and is free to attend.

Paw-sitive Fur Pride: Pet Fashion Show

The Dog Bar St. Pete will be hosting two coordinated fashion shows featuring designer Tailor Sallee. There will be live music and a pop-up shop to view Sallee’s pet fashion designs in person. This event is “PRIDE Carnival” themed and there is  a $7 entry fee for all new dogs. Humans/Dog Bar members have free entry. The Dog Bar is a 21+, off-leash membership park. Things to Remember:

  • PSTA will have a fare-free weekend June 25-26 and will be running park ‘n’ rides to the parade on June 25. Click here for more information.
  • The St. Pete Police Department will start blocking streets off on Saturday morning. At 2 p.m., all vehicle traffic on the pier will be closed. On Sunday, routes to Central Ave from 32nd St to 34th St will be closed. You can seek alternate routes with our real-time traffic map here. 
  • St. Pete Pride parade and street carnival is provided free of charge and is fully open to the public. Donations received throughout the year are what help keep St. Pete pride free for everyone. You can donate to St. Pete Pride here.
