St. Pete police close 38th Avenue after hit-and-run involving bicyclist

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — St. Petersburg police officers shut down 38th Avenue North at the 7800 block Sunday morning after a hit-and-run.

Police said the hit-and-run involved a vehicle and someone riding a bicycle.

Woman attacked with machete at Florida Waffle House

The bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to police.

The road is expected to be close for an extended period of time.
