ST. PETERSBURG — A person died late Saturday in a fire at a St. Petersburg assisted living facility.

Firefighters and paramedics in the Lealman area received a report of a fire shortly after 8:30 p.m. at Noble Senior Living at 3479 54th Ave. N.

Emergency radio traffic carried reports of a person on fire and a burn patient in the building. Firefighters found a fire that was under way. They had it under control within 10 minutes.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s officials said a person was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The person’s name was not given.

It was unclear how the fire started, but sheriff’s officials said it did not appear suspicious.
