The first ‘Gulfport On The Edge’ town hall meeting happens Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 at the Gulfport Casino.
For the civic minded citizens of Gulfport, check out Gulfport On The Edge town hall series. This series of meetings (sponsored by Gulfport City Councilmember, April Thanos and run by volunteers) is for citizens to discuss what needs they see in their communities, what data they need to find to address issues, and finally, what future they would like to see for their charming town.
Unlike typical town halls, Gulfport On The Edge will be using the “world café” model, where participants will sit at tables of 8-10 people based on interests/expertise, in order to meet and engage their neighbors in conversation.
The first town hall meeting, “Finding Common Ground” will be Monday, Nov. 14 at the Gulfport Casino, located at 5500 Shore Blvd S, from 6 p.m.-9pm. The event is free, but pre-registration is required.
The second meeting will be on Jan. 30, 2023 and the third will be on April 10th, 2023.
