ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A late-night Central Avenue crash that left one person dead and three others seriously injured is under investigation, St. Petersburg police said in a news release Thursday morning.
A pick-up truck with four people inside crashed into a tree at the intersection of 54th Street Wednesday night just before midnight, according to police. One person was killed, and three others face life-threatening injuries.
Central Avenue remained closed for investigation Thursday morning just before 7 a.m., though it has since reopened.
