TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A driver died after his vehicle went off the interstate and hit a brick wall outside a church in St. Petersburg early Tuesday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the man lost control of his vehicle after he failed to negotiate a curve on eastbound Interstate 175.

The vehicle started spinning through the exit to 5th Avenue South, then went airborne. It hit a curb, then crashed into the brick wall outside St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Church, 515 4th Street South and overturned.
The driver, a 36-year-old man from Sun City Center, died at the scene.
