ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two teenage passengers were killed after an SUV crashed into a St. Petersburg power pole early Saturday morning, authorities said.
Nikia Killens, 17, of St. Petersburg was driving a 2013 Buick Rendezvous on 11th Avenue South just before 1 a.m. when she veered off the road and hit a pole in the 4200 block.
Her two passengers — Shaariyah Brown, 14, and Brice Lewis, 18, both of St. Petersburg — died following the crash.

Brown was brought to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where she was pronounced dead. Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Killens was brought to John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
