A man was found dead inside a van at Gulfport Beach.

Police found a 56-year-old man dead inside a minivan at Gulfport Beach Tuesday (April 5) afternoon.
His next of kin has asked The Gabber to not use his name.
Gulfport Police said the man appeared to be living in the 2006 Chrysler minivan.
Friends and family tell The Gabber the man, would sometimes nap in the van
“He loved seeing the sunset and rise at the beach” his sister told The Gabber.
The van was parked in the Gulfport Beach parking lot near 56th Street South and Shore Boulevard. Gulfport’s beach fronts Boca Ciega Bay.
Police discovered the man inside the van at approximately 2 p.m., according to GPD.
Gulfport Police Sergeant Thomas Woodman said the investigation showed no signs of foul play or drug use. although the man had a history of medical problems, Woodman said.
“He has a very loving family that are so sad and missing his loving spirit,” his sister said.
“He had a loving heart,” his sister said, “but a weak one.”
