ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg man was arrested for attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed his neighbors over their loud music, according to police.
An affidavit said 38-year-old Thomas Matthew Scaglione went to the victims’ apartment around noon Monday to confront them about their music being too loud.

Police said during the confrontation, Scaglione stabbed one resident, a 34-year-old man, multiple times in the upper body. He also stabbed the man’s 51-year-old mother in the abdomen, according to police.
The victims managed to run away from their attacker, according to St. Petersburg police.
When officers arrived, they found Scaglione still at the front door step of the victims’ apartment.
According to police, both victims suffered life-threatening injuries.
Scaglione was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on two attempted murder charges in the second degree.
At his first court appearance on Tuesday, a judge set Scaglione’s bond at $300,000.

Kervens Beauplan lives beneath Scaglione at the Flagler Pointe Apartments. He was not home when the attack happened.
“I was at Publix and when I got here, it was like a crime scene,” Beauplan said. “There was blood everywhere. When I walked over there, the gentleman himself was covered in blood.”
He said he called police on Scaglione a couple of weeks ago after he claims Scaglione pulled a knife on him. He is relieved that Scaglione is now behind bars.
“Now that he is locked up, I feel safe now,” said Beauplan. “Knowing that he is locked up.”
